Introduction

Major Research areas include atomic and molecular physics, condensed matter and nuclear physics. Most of the work is carried out under three consortia:

• Multiphoton and Electronic Collision Processes HPC Consortium
• Electronic structures of matter
• HPC Resources for the Ab Initio Simulation of Covently Bonded Materials

and generally using codes specifically for HPC systems written within the groups themselves.

Example 1: Novel Doping of Diamond Using C60

This article describes the doping of diamond using C60 by a collaborative project from the Universities of Exeter and Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK along with the Lulea University of Technology in Sweden. Full article (PDF).
