FASTAOverviewFASTA is a searching program for biological sequence databases, written and distributed by Dr. William R. Pearson of the University of Virginia. The program uses the FASTA algorithm (see references below) to compare a protein sequence query to a protein sequence library or a DNAsequence query to a DNA sequence library. Restrictions on UseThere are currently no restrictions on use.
