This information is provided for guidance only. There are many reasons why a system may be shown as down, including scheduled down time sessions, how and when the "traffic lights" software detects a machine as down, e.g., network problems, problems with the "traffic lights" machines, problems with web server.

The traffic lights software samples the up/down status is every five minutes. The jobs which report the queue status used by the traffic lights run independently and at different time intervals. Hence the information in these pages does NOT form part of our service metrics.
