LSF (Load Sharing Facility)OverviewCSAR currently has nearly 1000 processors available, however gaining access to them is not as simple as just running your code the way you may do on your own machine. Most processors are hidden from interactive use and can only be accessed using the batch queue system LSF. LSF controls access to the processors so that the machine is used optimally. To run in this area you must create a script which, in essence, contains the commands you would have typed if you were to have run interactively. There are often other lines within this batch script which describe the resources you would like to use. |
