UNIX man Pages

Information on all commands on the systems is available using the standard unix 'man' tool. Additionally information on all the routines that are callable from your Fortran and C programs is available. For example man mpi will give a good introduction to the message passing interface (MPI).

CfS Systems man Pages

A list of man pages available on the systems is given below. These provide specific information on the configuration and the way in which the systems can be most effectively used, as well as the current limits on the size of batch jobs etc.

man cfstimes Times allocated for job types
man cfsqs Job status for all jobs
man cfsshecule Job scheduling
man cfsfiles File storage areas and file transfer speeds
man dmq Displays counts of outstanding dmf requests
man lac List accounting information utility

CSAR Monthly Bulletins

General service and system information or changes are published in the monthly bulletins - www.csar.cfs.ac.uk/about/bulletin/. This bulletin is emailed once a month to all registered users.
